Finally, the long-awaited anime, Horimiya, is here. The first episode was excellent, and it further set the theme for the show. The animation and the sound everything were super good. Masashi Ishihama is directing the show, and as we can see, the first episode was excellent. However, Horimiya Episode 2 will be coming out next week.

On top of the anime, there will soon be a TV Drama and a live-action movie based on Horimiya. There was also a 6 episode OVA released between 2012 to 2018, and another two of them are coming out in May 2021.

Kyoko Hori is a popular girl, and Izumi Miyamura is her dull and gloomy classmate. However, after school, Hori likes to stay at home and take care of Sota and do household work. One day, Sota gets back home with a nosebleed accompanied by Miyamura, who has a punk appearance with multiple piercings and tattoos.

They both agree to hide their real self in front, so they get to relax and enjoy with each other.

Horimiya Episode 2 Release Date

Horimiya Episode 2 is not on delay and will air as scheduled next week. Any changes pertaining to the release date will be updated. Horimiya Episode 2 is going to come out on Sunday, January 17th at 10:30 PM JST. The new episode is going to be titled “You wear more than once face.” However, be sure to change the release date and time according to your time zone.

All the remaining 13 episodes are going to come out every Sunday. However, be sure to check this post as we will be updating the article in the case of some delays or changes in the airing date.

Horimiya Episode 2 Recap

Note: This section has spoilers from the previous episode; if you want to avoid them, I suggest skipping this section

In the last episode, we saw the contrasting personas of Hori and Miyamura. Miyamura acts and looks like a loner in school. After school, he appears to be more outgoing and has piercings and tattoos. Meanwhile, Hori takes a more laid-back approach taking care of his little brother and making food at home.

One day, Hori’s brother gets a nosebleed, and Miyamura brings him home. Hori doesn’t recognize Miyamura at once, but once, he introduces himself. Hori is surprised to see that Miyamura has piercings and tattoos.

They both start talking a lot in school a lot, and Hori invites him to her house to play with Sota multiple times. Horimiya Episdoe 2 has great expectations and is predicted to be better than episode 1 according to the manga.

Funimation is streaming Horimiya outside Asia in North America, the British Isles, Mexico, and Brazil. You can also watch Horimiya Episode 2 on Wakanim and AnimeLab.

Horimiya is originally a web manga by Hero. It was initially released back in 2007, and since then, it is under print by Gagan comics.

A Live-Action Movie and TV drama is also going to premiere in February 2021. The movie is coming out on February 5th and the TV Drama on February 16th.

Horimiya has sold more than 2 million copies till now and was in 6th place Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics.
