Episode 5 is mostly centered around Kusue. We get to know a little about her backstory and why she wants to become a doctor. After being captured by the bandits with the other girls, she slowly starts to realize that this world is vastly different from Japan. Staying peaceful is not an option here.
We also see Khavel training the Hero Squad, Kusue is struggling the most. But she slows starts to realize that she needs to change if she wants to survive and help others in the world. She also is able to kill a Goblin in one of their encounters. Now having being taken a life, she slowly starts accepting the fact that she has to help herself and others.
The episode ends with the Kusue bravely killing the Kobold with her longsword finally overcoming her limits. There are also some other people and civilians whom the Kobolds were attacking. They are said to be the so-called goods which the Game Master Mentioned.
