Jujutsu Kaisen is one the highest rating anime this season and is providing fan service and animations on another level. Being similar to top animes such as Noragami, Tokyo Ghoul, and Parasyte, this anime has gathered a huge fan following after its anime release. In this blog, we will discuss everything there is to know about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date and Possibility!
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date
Jujutsu Kaisen is a project of Studio MAPPA which has also taken over Attack on Titan Season 4. Sunghoo Park is the director of the series accompanied by writer Hiroshi Seko. The phenomenal music we hear in the series is the work of three people namely, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama.
The series has brought great popularity to its original source material which is the manga. This manga was created by Gege Akutami and released in 2017 by Jump comics. It stopped after its first volume and later picked up back in 2018. It has a total of 13 volumes and is still going.

Studio MAPPA and creator Gege Akutami have not yet revealed the possibility of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Like most anime productions they are waiting for a complete response from the viewers to finalize a decision that will benefit them. Making anime requires a lot of money, time, and hard work, which is why sequels are decided in the very end, and in most cases, it is decided after many years.
Will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Happen?
Jujutsu Kaisen has currently finished airing episode 7 at the time of writing this article. Studio MAPPA revealed that the series has 24 episodes in total and will air an episode every week. The source material(Manga) has been continuing successfully since 2018 and has reached 13 volumes. In most cases, if the anime adaptation has a legit source material to continue production, it will definitely resume with a season 2. But there is a contingency with this statement.
The anime must have consistent ratings and high gross profit after the end of the first season. Every anime will have a set of die-hard fans(including Boku no Pico), but the number is what counts. Judging by the phenomenal success the anime has produced after just 7 episodes, I think it is safe to say that it will definitely have a second season.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will probably release in 2020 after its first season ends in 2021. The production will possibly announce or confirm the release date of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 once the fans give them sureity that a sequel will not leave them under a loss.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Plot
This anime is literally dominating this entire anime season. With a rating of 8.36 from MAL, Jujutsu Kaisen is off the charts. MAPPA has done it once again. Their history of producing jaw-dropping anime is once again been proven with this piece of art. So far the first season has produced a rapid positive response and is able to keep up with its manga expectations.
Jujutsu Kaisen has 2 Light Novels, Jujutsu Kaisen: Soaring Summer and Returning Autumn, and Jujutsu Kaisen: The Path of Roses at Dawn. But the source material for the anime adaptation is the Manga Series.

The manga started its original run in 2017 and later picked up in 2018. It has completed 13 volumes so far and is looking good so far. The anime has a lot to catch up with the manga. Judging by the looks of it, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will base its plot as the continuation of the manga volumes. Jujutsu Kaisen’s manga has completed 130 chapters currently and the story is as fiery as expected. Unbelievable action and fine illustrations.

Where to Read Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Officially?
Yuuji Itadori is a highschool student who is a part of the occult club and takes part in activities involving paranormal activities. But he also spends time in the hospital as his grandfather is bedridden. One day Itadori comes across a sacred item which later ends up placing in him with a higher role in his existence. He has to battle curses which are monsters that take physical forms from the deepest emotions of human beings.
Itadori gained his overwhelming power by ingesting the finger of the demon Sukuna who was the most powerful being to ever exist and a war maniac. He joins the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School and now spends his days fighting curses to protect the world but there are other factors that add to the plot which makes it interesting along the way. Surely a must-watch for those who like quick animations, gore, and supernatural anime.
Jujutsu Kaisen Ending Song
LOST IN PARADISE feat. AKLO is the name of the current ending song for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1. The Sketch art by TOHO animations is simply amazing to watch. Their dance moves are very fluid and beautifully portrayed. Its music is addictive and probably used as ringtones by most weebs.
